Using Planera on the iPad
Generally speaking, the same functionality that is available on PC is available on your iPad. However, there are some nuances to be aware of that are detailed below:
Navigation & Scrolling
Mouse: Navigation & scrolling using a mouse is well supported with typical keyboard + scroll interactions being available.
Trackpad: Navigation & scrolling using a trackpad is supported.
Touch: Use touchscreen pinch or zoom buttons in the app.
Touch: Most interactions are supported with touch. We recommend a mouse or trackpad for full app functionality.
Note: Drag and drop activity from left toolbar menu in Canvas requires holding down on button for 1 second
Table & Gantt Interactions
Invisible Scrollbars: Scrollbars are hidden by default in iPadOS. Navigate using finger gestures on the trackpad or mouse scroll.
Vertical scroll (with mouse/trackpad): Works when the cursor is over the name column
Bulk Select Cells: Use Shift+Down Arrow (Shift + Select does not select dropdown menus)
Performance and Compatibility
Performance Limitations: Minor performance variations in animations and rendering may occur. Larger canvases could experience slight lag.
Device Compatibility: Supported on modern iPads. Please note, iPad Mini may encounter minor layout issues.
Web App Opening in Browser: If Planera opens in Chrome instead of the intended web interface, re-adding the app to the home screen typically resolves the issue.
