When working with progressed schedules, Planera allows you to choose how logic behaves after actuals are entered. Switching between Progress Override and Retained Logic ensures your schedule reflects the level of logic preservation you need.

Change the Schedule Progress Mode

  1. Open the project you want to update

Make sure you are in the Master Schedule where schedule settings are managed.

  2. Go to the More menu and open Schedule Settings

Click the settings icon in the schedule toolbar to access project-level scheduling options.

  1. Select the desired progress mode

Under Progress Behavior, choose one of the following:

    • Retained Logic – Original logic is preserved, and remaining work respects existing relationships

    • Progress Override – Logic is recalculated based on progress and the data date

  2. Save your changes

The selected mode will apply the next time the schedule is progressed or recalculated
