Manny's Prompt Library gives every project user a shared set of ready-to-use prompts, plus room for their own personal ones. As an organization admin, you control the shared side of that library: what starter prompts say, adding new prompts or editing existing prompts as your business needs grow and change, and how everything is organized into categories.
Planera seeds your account with a set of starter prompts. Once seeded, they are ordinary organization prompts. There is no ongoing link back to Planera, so editing or deleting them is entirely up to you.
Only organization admins can create, edit, delete, or recategorize organization prompts and categories. Project users can run these prompts but cannot change them.
Project users can also create their own personal prompts. Personal prompts are not covered in this article; see Getting Started with Manny for the project user view of the Prompt Library inside a project.
Opening Prompt Library Management
From your Planera home page, select the option to manage organization prompts. This is available to organization admins only.
Creating and Editing Organization Prompts
From the prompt library, click Create Prompt, or select the 3 stacked dots on an existing organization prompt (including a Planera starter prompt) to edit it.
When creating a new prompt, enter a prompt name, a one-line description of what the prompt is intended to do, and the text your team will send to Manny.
Choose a category from the list of existing categories, or create a new category without leaving the dialog.
Save your changes. The prompt is now available to every project user in your organization.
A prompt name must be unique within its category. If you reuse a name and category combination, saving will fail; change the name or category to save.
To delete a prompt, click the 3 stacked dots on the prompt card from the management view and choose delete.
Deleting a prompt removes it for every project user immediately.
Managing Categories
From the management view of the prompt library, click Manage Categories
Rename any category by clicking on the category name, including categories created by Planera.
Delete categories using the trashcan icon, including categories created by Planera. Deleting a category does not delete its prompts. Before deleting a category, you will be asked to reassign all prompts in the category you are deleting to a different category.
How the Library Appears to Project Users
Project users see organization prompts and their own personal prompts together in the same Prompt Library view within a project, organized by category, with up to three prompt cards per row. Personal prompts are labeled so users know which ones they created. They can run any organization prompt but cannot edit, delete, or recategorize them.

Who can manage the organization's prompt library?
Only organization admins can create, edit, delete, or recategorize organization prompts and categories. Project users can run organization prompts but cannot change them.
What happens to Planera's starter prompts after they're seeded?
They become ordinary organization prompts. There is no ongoing connection to Planera, so your organization can edit, delete, or recategorize them like any prompt you create yourself.
Can I rename or delete a category that Planera created?
Yes. Seeded categories work the same as any category your organization creates: you can rename, delete, or reorganize them.
What happens to prompts in a category I delete?
They move to the Uncategorized category. They are not deleted.
Why did saving my new prompt fail?
A prompt name must be unique within its category. If another prompt already uses that name in the same category, change the name or choose a different category.
Can project users create their own prompts?
Yes, but those are personal prompts, not organization prompts. Only the project user who created a personal prompt can run or manage it; admins do not manage personal prompts.
