How to Add or Create a Group in Planera's Canvas

How to add a group and assign a color to it.

A group is a collection of one or more activities. You can have groups inside a group, and it is similar to a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure). You can add a Group in the followings ways:

  1. Using Left Toolbar

    1. Hover over the left Toolbar and select the Group


    2. Click on the icon, drag it to the desired spot on the canvas, and release the mouse button. A new Group will be created in that spot.


  2. Right-click on the Canvas

    1. Right-click on your mouse and select Add New Group.


  3. Convert an Activity into a Group

    1. Right-click on an activity (or multiple selected activities) and select Place in New Group from the menu

Change a group's color by right clicking the group & selecting an option from the "Group Color" section. We offer 10 colors to choose from.
