This guide walks you through how to turn on color modes, change activity colors, and understand how color rules apply in the Gantt.
Choose a Color Mode
Planera allows two primary color modes in the Gantt:
Default mode (no colors applied)
Color by Field (e.g., group color, element color, custom codes)
Navigate to the Gantt tab and click on the toolbar wheel in the bottom right corner
In the top toolbar, click the Activity Bar Colors dropdown
Select an Activity Bar Color Option and the Gantt immediately updates with color assignments
Element Color = The activity’s color on canvas
Responsibility = Assigned responsibility code color
Note: When selecting a code to color by, a legend will appear above the Gantt chart.
