Inspecting the Path of an Activity or Milestone

How to trace logic path of an activity or milestone.

Updated yesterday

Latest Update: 1-15-2026

Viewing an activity or milestone’s logic path can be useful for a clear, uncluttered view of its related elements. You can inspect the path of any activity or milestone in from the Canvas, Table, Gantt or Watchlist view to better understand your schedule.

Inspect the Path of an Activity

Inspecting a path in canvas shows opens a full screen view of the logic path of an activity or milestone. Three levels of predecessors and successors for the selected element will be shown by default.

Each expansion reveals three additional levels.

Driving vs. Non-Driving Relationships

The driving path of all visible activities will be shown via a thickened edge. Refer to the legend in the bottom left as needed to remember the nuances here. When an activity has multiple predecessors, the driving relationship is represented with a bold line and all other non-driving relationships are standard line thickness.
