Lookahead is a feature that provides a focused view of the upcoming schedule based on a specified timeframe. The maximum timeframe allowed is 12 weeks ahead.
How to set a Lookahead in Gantt
Click on ‘Lookahead’ from the header
Choose the 'From' date by typing in a date or by clicking on the box and choosing a date from the calendar
You can also use preset quick dates below the calendar
Choose the 'To' date in the same manner or use the date range below for a set number of weeks
Note: If you use the date range to set you "To" date, this setting will be saved to your profile for the project you are working in.
Click ‘Set’ to apply Lookahead-specific view of the Gantt chart
Note: Once you apply the lookahead, it will stay on as you navigate to Table or Canvas view until you clear it (see below).
How to set a Lookahead in Table
Click on ‘Lookahead’ from the header
Follow the same steps as you would in Gantt to select your dates and apply the lookahead-specific view in table
How to set a Lookahead in Canvas
Click on ‘Lookahead’ from the header
Follow the same steps as you would in Gantt to select your dates and apply the lookahead-specific view in canvas
Clearing Lookahead
Click on ‘Lookahead’ from the header in Gantt, Table or Canvas
Click on ‘Clear Lookahead’ to remove it
