Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I add tasks inside a Field Schedule?
Expand an activity using the expand icon near its duration and task count, then click "Task" in the left toolbar, or double-click on the canvas, and drop the task where you want it placed.

Can tasks connect to elements outside their parent activity?
No. Logical connections on tasks can only be established within the expanded activity they belong to.

Why can't I see variance on my Field Schedule?
If the Field Schedule has no parent Master Schedule, you need to change the project state to "Committed" before time variance will display.

What does the stale vs. updated schedule button mean?
The Schedule button shows whether your latest changes (durations, calendars, etc.) have been calculated yet. "Stale" means you have unscheduled changes; clicking Schedule recalculates and shows a summary of what changed from the previous run.

Can I set a default color or custom code for new tasks?
Yes. Hover over "Task" in the left toolbar and click the right chevron to set a default color and custom codes that will apply to tasks you add going forward.
