How to Import projects from p6 and exporting projects to p6

Updated over 3 months ago

Important Points to Note Before Importing a p6 project into Planera

  1. What's Imported: All logic, durations, start/finish milestones (with supported constraints), progress updates, activity codes, UDFs, labor, and equipment resources.

  2. Conversion: LOE activities convert to Timespan resources and hourly durations convert to days.

  3. For a smooth importing experience make sure:

    1. All durations are whole and not fractional

    2. Calendars are setup with consistent work hours for any exceptions.

  4. If Import Fails: A log file will be generated, and Planera Customer Success will assist with the issue.
