How to export a Planera project into P6 (XML) and import to P6

When exporting to P6, logic, durations, milestones, constraints, codes, WBS order, and progress updates will be included



How to Export a Planera Project to P6 (XML)

  1. From within a Planera Project, click ‘More’ in the top right and select ‘Project Export’


  2. From the pop-up window, select ‘Oracle P6 XML’ and click ‘Export’


    Note: Project will export in native P6 XML format, compatible with any newer P6 versions (XML files are version independent)

    If direct download is enabled, the P6 XML file will download automatically. Otherwise, it will be emailed to you after a manual QC by the customer support team

Exporting Projects Originally Imported From P6

  1. Click the info icon to the right of your project name at the top of your screen

  2. Expand the P6 drop down menu and download the Original or Modified schedule to P6

    Importing Planera file in P6

    1. To import the file in P6, navigate to File and click Import options


    2. Select ‘Primavera P6 XML’ and click next


    3. Locate the file on your system and import it as a new project.


      Note: All codes and resources will be imported along with the logic, durations, milestones, constraints and progress updates
