Adding a Milestone

What are Milestones and how to add one to the project

Updated yesterday

There are three types of Milestones in Planera:

  1. Start Milestone - One is required, and this is where you set the start date of the project

    • Constraints available on Start Milestones:

      • Start Milestones in a project imported from P6 will convert to Start of Next Day (SOND) relative to its predecessor in Planera

      • Start Milestones in a project imported from P6 with As Late As Possible (ALAP) constraint will be converted to Start of Next Day (SOND) relative to its predecessor in Planera

  2. Interim Milestone - You can add as many as you like, and this is to track important Interim deadlines.

    • Constraints available on Interim Milestone:

      • None - Next day (this is the default)

      • None - End of day (EOD)

      • Start On

      • Finish On

      • Start On or After

      • Finish On or After

      • Finish On or Before

      • As Late As Possible - Next day

      • As Late as Possible - EOD

  3. Finish Milestone - You can add one of these to the project.

    • Constraints available on Finish Milestone:

      • Finish On

      • Finish On or After

      • Finish On or Before

    • Finish Milestones from project imported from P6 will convert to End of Day (EOD) relative to its predecessor in Planera

    • Finish Milestones in a project imported from P6 with As Late As Possible (ALAP) constraint will be converted to End of Day (EOD) relative to its predecessor in Planera
