Projects can easily be exported for import into Oracle Primavera P6, MSFT Project (MPP) or MSFT Excel. When exporting to P6, logic, durations, milestones, constraints, codes, WBS order, progress updates, and resource cost loading data will be included.
When inside a project click on “Export Project” from the “More” menu in the header
Choose to export the entire project or only the filtered elements, then export.
Note: If your project is stale when you go to export, a warning will appear during this step reminding you to run your schedule before exporting.
Select file format
Note: Project will export in native P6 XML format, compatible with any newer P6 versions (XML files are version independent)
Confirm the format you selected is correct and select Export
Exporting Projects Originally Imported From P6
Click the info icon to the right of your project name at the top of your screen
Expand the P6 drop down menu and download the Original or Modified schedule to P6
Note: Primavera P6 has hundreds of settings and versions. If importing the project to P6 does not work the first time, please contact us, and we will resolve the issue promptly. Once resolved, you can use this functionality without any further assistance from us.
