The Variance Reason Codes chart provides a breakdown of activities categorized by their variance reasons over time. This visualization helps track the distribution and frequency of variances, allowing users to identify trends.
Bar Chart
The bar chart shows variance reasons over time, with each bar representing a time interval (e.g., week or month). Color-coded segments indicate variance reasons, with segment height showing either the percentage or total count of activities based on the selected view ("Percent %" or "Count #")
Switch between percentage and activity count from the toggle
How to view activities with variance reason
Hover over a bar to see number/percentage of activities attributed to each variance reason and click “Inspect Activities”
Select where to view the missed activities
Based on your selection it will load missed activities in either the Canvas or Table view
Pie Chart
You can switch to the pie chart view from the toggle in the top right
This chart displays the percentage of activities for each variance reason within the selected time frame, which by default is set for the entire project duration. Hover over a segment to see the reason and activity count.
How to set timeframe
Click Timeframe, choose the start and end dates, and confirm
