Frequently Asked Questions
Who can make a project version read only?
Only project owners and organization admins can turn Read Only on or off. Open the Versions canvas, click the three-dot menu on a version, and select Make Read Only or Make Editable.
How can I tell if a project is read only?
On the Home page, the project card shows an eye icon next to the version name. Inside the project, a Read Only dropdown replaces the Schedule button in the top-right corner, and on the Versions canvas the version card has a Read Only tag.
Can I copy from a read-only project?
Yes. You can select activities and groups on the Canvas, copy them, and paste them into another project you can edit. Cut and other edits stay blocked, so the read-only version is never changed.
How do I find out who owns a read-only project?
Click the Read Only dropdown in the project header to see the list of project owners, or open Share in the header.
