What is the Excel Comparison Report?
The Excel comparison report is a downloadable Excel file that contains all of the differences between two schedules along with links back to their respective locations in the Planera application.
How does it work?
To download the comparison report, see the steps below:
From the "More" menu, select "Compare Versions" and input the relevant version
Navigate to the Gantt view & select the "Download Excel" button in the comparison ribbon.
Access the Excel report from your downloads folder.
How to Use the Report
The Excel Comparison Report is divided in to multiple sections. There is a tab for every type of change that we capture today. If there were changes between the two selected versions, they will be listed in the tab. If not, the tab will simply state that there were no changes.
The tabs in the report are:
Summary: An overview of the two versions that are being compared.
Activity Added: A list of activities that were added.
Activity Deleted: A list of activities that were deleted.
Activity Name: A list of activity name changes between versions.
Duration: A list of which activities had duration changes.
Calendar: A list of which activities had calendar changes.
Relationship: A list of which activities had relationship changes.
TF Change: A list of total float changes (over 10 days)
FF Change: A list of free float changes (over 10 days)
Where available, a "Link" column is present which includes a hyper link that takes you to the relevant location of the product.
