This functionality is useful when activities that were originally milestones (for example, from an import or copy/paste) need to be represented as an Interim Milestone—without deleting and recreating them.
Convert an Activity to a Milestone
You can convert eligible activities into milestones directly from the schedule.
Before you begin
There are a few guardrails to be aware of:
Activities can only be converted in the Master Schedule (not the Field Schedule)
The activity must:
Have a status of Not Started
Have a duration of 0
Note: If these conditions are not met, the conversion option will be disabled.
Steps to convert an activity
Locate the activity you want to convert in the Master Schedule
Right-click the activity to open the context menu and select Convert to Interim Milestone
Once selected, the activity will be converted into an interim milestone and displayed accordingly in the schedule
