Interim Milestone Date Mapping

How to change the time of day logic for Interim Milestones

Updated today

For projects imported from P6, all milestones besides the first start milestone and last finish milestone will be converted to Interim Milestones and have date mapping applied as follows:

  • P6 Start Milestone without constraints β†’ to IMS with Start of Next Day

  • P6 Finish Milestone without constraints β†’ to IMS with End of Day

  • P6 Start Milestone with ALAP constraint β†’ to IMS with Start of Next Day

  • P6 Finish Milestone with ALAP constraint β†’ to IMS with End of Day

Note: Learn more about the different types of milestones in Planera here

Change the Date Mapping of an IMS

  1. In the Canvas: right click on the IMS and choose "Date Mapping" from the context menu

If you are unsure of which date makes the most sense for your project, hover over the information icon for more information on your choices

  2. In the Table: Use the constraint column to select either None-Next Day or None-End of day (EOD) for your IMS
