This article walks through how to copy a link to an element from its context menu, what happens when someone opens that link, and how Planera handles access or missing elements.
Copy a Link to an Element
You can share a URL to any element in your project in any view: Canvas, Table or Gantt
In Canvas, right-click to open the element’s context menu and select More Actions
c. Select “Copy link to Element” to copy the URL to your clipboard.
d. Share or open the link
Paste the link into a message, email, or browser.
Opening the link will take the user directly to that element in Planera, preserving its original location (for example, Canvas vs. Gantt) when possible.
In Table, right-click to open the element’s context menu and select More Actions
In Gantt, right-click to open the element’s context menu and select More Actions
What Happens When Someone Opens the Link
If the user has at least commenter permission to the project, the link will bring them to the element in the view where it was copied (Canvas, Table or Gantt).
Access permissions
If the user does not have access to the project or element, they’ll get a message letting them know who to contact for access to the project
Deleted or missing elements
If the element no longer exists, Planera will let the user know this is the case
