Frequently Asked Questions

What LLM model does Manny use? Can I change it?

Manny currently uses Claude Opus 4.6. Planera manages model selection to optimize performance, you don't need to configure anything.

How is Manny built?

Manny uses an agentic system with internal MCP servers to give it structured, secure access to your project data. It can answer questions about your schedule, generate reports, offer improvement suggestions, and run what-if scenarios. What-if scenarios do not modify any schedule data.

Can Manny access data from multiple projects?

Manny currently works within a single project and cannot answer questions that require data from multiple projects.

What are Manny's current limitations?

  • Manny cannot create new schedules, groups, activities, or logic.

  • Manny cannot make modifications to activities.

  • Manny does not currently have access to S-curves, PPC, or Watchlists.

Troubleshooting

I see a stale state warning. What does that mean?

This warning means the schedule has changed since the current chat was opened or last active. Manny will surface this warning when you ask a question so you know responses may not reflect the latest data. Start a new chat to get answers based on the current schedule.

Manny seems to be taking a long time. What should I do?

Manny continues working in the background even if you navigate away. Return to the Manny panel to check for your response. If Manny returns an error, retry the question. If the issue persists, reach out to your customer success partner or use the in-app chat for help.

What should I do if Manny returns an unexpected or wrong response?

Use the πŸ‘Ž button and describe what happened and what you expected. This helps the team improve Manny's accuracy. For more significant issues, contact your customer success partner or use the in-app chat.

Providing Feedback

  • πŸ‘Ž if it wasn't, please add a brief explanation of what went wrong.

Additional FAQs

How does Manny learn?

Manny improves in two main ways. First, the Planera team uses thumbs up and thumbs down feedback from users to tune how Manny understands questions and processes responses. Second, the underlying AI model is updated over time to provide the best possible experience. Your data is never used to train external AI models.

Does Manny learn from my usage?

Yes. You can grade Manny's responses using the thumbs up or thumbs down buttons after any response. This feedback helps the Planera team improve Manny's accuracy and response quality over time.

Is there a feedback button for Manny?

Yes. After any Manny response, hover over the bottom of the response to reveal thumbs up and thumbs down options. Use thumbs up if the response was accurate and helpful, or thumbs down with a brief explanation if it wasn't. This feedback helps the Planera team improve Manny over time.

What happens if Manny doesn't understand my question?

Manny will attempt to answer your question and will let you know if it cannot fulfill the request. If you receive an unexpected or unhelpful response, try rephrasing your question or use the thumbs down button to share feedback with the Planera team.

Who do I contact if I have a question about Manny's results?

Use the thumbs up or thumbs down button on any Manny response to share feedback. For more specific questions about a result, contact us via the in-app chat or reach out to your customer success partner.

Why did Manny give me a different answer than last time I asked the same question?
Manny's responses are based on your live schedule data. If the schedule has changed between sessions, or if you're asking in a different context (different project, different chat), the answer may vary. Starting a new chat ensures Manny is working from the most current data.

Can I use Manny on a schedule that hasn't been updated recently?
Yes. You can ask Manny questions at any time. If the schedule data is stale, Manny will display a warning alongside its response so you're aware the answer may not reflect the current state of the project.

Will Manny's capabilities expand over time?
Yes, there is significant potential for Manny to provide even greater value to Planera users. We will continue to partner with our customers to build Manny features that drive better project outcomes.

Who should I contact if Manny is consistently returning errors?
Reach out to your customer success partner or use the in-app chat to report persistent issues. Including a description of what you asked and what error appeared will help the team diagnose the problem faster.

Does submitting thumbs-down feedback affect my account or usage?
No. Feedback is anonymous to the Planera team and is used only to improve Manny's accuracy and response quality. There is no impact on your account or access.
